Medical Assistant

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support in both clinical and administrative tasks, ensuring a high level of patient care and service. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, patient intake processes, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

• Assist healthcare professionals in outpatient setting.
• Perform patient intake procedures, including obtaining vital signs and medical history.
• documentation in Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.in knowledge of ICD coding for accurate billing and insurance processing.
• Support patient care by preparing examination rooms, sterilizing instruments, and assisting during procedures.
• Communicate effectively with patients regarding their care plans and follow-up appointments.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team.
• Uphold basic life support (BLS) protocols and respond to emergencies as needed.

Skills

• Strong understanding of anatomy and physiology related to patient care.
• Proficiency in medical administrative support tasks including scheduling appointments and managing patient records.
• Experience with EHR systems for efficient documentation and retrieval of patient information.
• Proficiency in insurance verification
• Familiarity with care protocols .
• Knowledge of medical terminology to facilitate effective communication within the healthcare team.
• Experience in inpatient settings is highly desirable.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to provide exceptional patient service.
