Position Summary

The Medical Assistant (MA) plays a vital role in supporting providers and ensuring exceptional patient care. This position involves both clinical and administrative responsibilities. The ideal candidate is compassionate, detail-oriented, and experienced or interested in working with the geriatric population.

Key Responsibilities Clinical Duties:

  • Room patients and obtain accurate vital signs, including height, weight, blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and oxygen saturation
  • Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during visits
  • Perform venipuncture and capillary blood draws, specimen collection, processing, and labeling
  • Administer injections and medications as ordered by a provider (including IM, subcutaneous, and intradermal injections)
  • Perform EKGs, basic wound care, and assist with minor procedures
  • Conduct point-of-care testing as ordered (e.g., glucose, urinalysis)
  • Accurately document patient information in the Ethizo EMR
  • Support Chronic Care Management (CCM) and Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM) workflows, including patient outreach, device support, and documentation
  • Educate patients and caregivers on care plans, medications, and use of RPM devices as directed by providers

Administrative Duties:

  • Verify patient information and update medical records
  • Assist with referrals, prior authorizations, and follow-up coordination
  • Maintain exam rooms, equipment, and supplies according to infection control and safety standards
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and clinic policies
  • Communicate effectively with providers, staff, patients, and caregivers

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
