Internal Medicine Associates is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our team. Responsibilities
- Assist providers with patient intake, including collecting medical histories and documenting symptoms accurately.
- Measure vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates to support clinical assessments.
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures by explaining processes and ensuring comfort.
- Manage electronic health record (EHR) systems efficiently to document patient information, treatment plans, and ICD coding for billing purposes.
- Maintain clinical cleanliness by sterilizing equipment and ensuring compliance with health safety standards in both inpatient and outpatient environments.
- Provide exceptional patient service by addressing questions, coordinating appointments, and facilitating smooth communication between patients and healthcare teams.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and insurance processes.
- Previous experience in a medical office preferred.
- Proficiency with ECW and medical administrative support functions including appointment scheduling and insurance documentation.
- Ability to perform clinical tasks such as vital sign measurement.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages and backgrounds while demonstrating empathy and professionalism.

Pay: $16.00 - $21.00 per hour
