Medical Assistant

Overview
Seeking a skilled Medical Assistant to join our podiatry practice. Full to part time position.

Responsibilities

• Prepares exam rooms for daily clinics.
• Reviews patient’s chart for testing results,orders, etc.
• Greets patients in the exam room, documents chief complaint.
• Prepares patient for examination and procedures assisting physician as needed.
• Dresses wounds following the physician guidelines.
• Collects and packages specimens for lab processing.
• Directs patients, answering questions as needed.
• Maintains clean, safely equipped, and adequately supplied examining rooms.

Experience

• Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar administrative role within a healthcare setting is preferred.
• Familiarity with medical terminology
• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems
• Strong communication skills and the ability to interact compassionately with patients and their families.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
