Role Description

Dermatology Associates of Oakbrook Terrace, conveniently located in the heart of Chicago’s western suburbs is a comprehensive private practice for adults, pediatrics, and cosmetic dermatology. We are looking to hire a Full Time Medical Assistant who will work closely with providers and staff to provide the highest quality of care for our patients. Pre-P.A. professionals preferred. The qualified candidate must be a team player who is energetic, driven, compassionate, dependable, and can work with precise attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

• Room patients, intake health history, and document chief complaints.
• Assist in surgical excisions, biopsies, cosmetic procedures, etc.
• Convey biopsy and surgery results to patients as instructed by providers.
• Clean and sterilize medical instruments.
• Send prescriptions to pharmacies as instructed by providers.
• Accurately document all communication within patient chart/EMR.
• Triage calls and messages as time permits between patients.
• Perform all tasks assigned in a manner compliant with current government regulations, i.e. HIPPA, OSHA, CLIA, etc.

Qualifications:

• Pre-P.A. Professional
• Professional experience within a medical clinic or dermatology setting preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills and experience working with patients.
• Strong computer skills, EMR platform, and understanding of medical terminology preferred.
