The Role: Medical Assistant
As a Medical Assistant, you will be a vital part of our clinical team, responsible for providing comprehensive support to ensure the efficient daily operation of our busy practice. The right candidate will be eligible to become our clinical manager on Marco Island!
Key Responsibilities
- Patient Flow Management: Efficiently room patients for five (5) Podiatrists and manage your occasional medical assistant schedule.
- Clinical Documentation: Obtain and accurately record vitals, update current medications, and transcribe all patient phone conversations and treatments directly into our EMR system.
- Procedure Assistance: Prepare for and actively assist doctors with a variety of in-office procedures.
- Scheduling & Triage: Triage and promptly return patient phone calls, and assist with complex surgery coordination and scheduling.
- Diagnostic & DME Coordination:
- Assist with arranging Labs, Physical Therapy, and other advanced diagnostic testing.
- Dispense Durable Medical Equipment (DME) and process all appropriate necessary paperwork.
- X-Ray Imaging: Obtain onsite X-rays. Experience with Podiatric-specific X-rays is a significant plus.
- Inventory & Equipment: Stock treatment rooms and ensure the integrity and proper maintenance of all medical equipment.
- Administrative Support: Possess strong computer and charting skills. This includes scanning and attaching patient documents into the EMR system, uploading patient images, and other related tasks.
- Diabetic Shoe Program: Experience assisting with the Diabetic Shoe Program is a plus.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Medical Assistant or similar role.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.
- Ability to perform all duties accurately and with high quality.
- A positive, self-motivated attitude and a commitment to teamwork.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
