Medical Assistant

Dermatology Southwest, a well established dermatology practice is hiring a medical assistant with experience in dermatology who can provide exceptional patient care. The ideal candidate must be able to multi-task in a fast paced environment with a team. The candidate must have the ability to learn quickly, be detail-oriented, punctual, dependable and able to communicate with patients, staff and physicians. The candidate must also be able to scribe for the provider into the EHR while in the exam room with the provider.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for assisting in delivering patient care and performing back office duties such as
• Obtains vital signs and record in electronic health record
• Room patients
• Chart in electronic health record
• Scribe for the provider in exam room
• Setting up surgery trays/assist with surgeries
• Communicating with patients about path and lab results
• Prepare the patient for the exam by the physician
• Administer injections
• Stock and clean exam rooms on a daily basis
• Order medical supplies

Qualifications

• Education Level: Diploma from an accredited program for Medical Assistants required
• Certifications: CMA Certification preferred
• Experience Years: 2+ years dermatology experience in office based setting preferred
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
