Medical Assistant

Job Overview
CarePlus Medical Group Urgent Care is seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced medical environment. This position requires a strong understanding of medical procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals. Experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, or internal medicine is preferred.

Duties

• Schedule patient appointments
• Enter patient demographics in electronic health care system
• Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
• Perform basic clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, preparing patients for exams, and documenting medical histories.
• Administer medications as directed by physicians and monitor patient responses.
• Maintain accurate patient records and coding for billing purposes.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintain a clean working environment.
• Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care.

Requirements

• Certification as a Medical Assistant or equivalent experience in a healthcare setting.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in managing patient records.
• Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to the changing needs of the healthcare environment.

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
