Medical Assistant

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our medical staff and ensuring high-quality patient care in a Family Medicine clinical setting. This position requires a strong understanding of patient service, basic life support, and the ability to work effectively in outpatient environments.

Duties

• Perform routine clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, preparing patients for examinations, and documenting medical histories.
• Administer medications as directed by physicians and monitor patient responses.
• Provide education to patients regarding their health conditions, treatment plans, and medication usage.
• Maintain accurate patient records and coding for billing purposes, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Support the healthcare team by coordinating patient appointments, managing medical supplies, and maintaining a clean work environment.
• Utilize knowledge of physiology to assist in patient assessments and care planning.

Qualifications

• Certification as a Medical Assistant or equivalent training is preferred.
• Familiarity with coding practices is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient service and empathy.
• Ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments such as clinics.
• Previous experience in an outpatient setting is desirable but not required.
• A commitment to ongoing professional development and learning within the medical field.
