Medical Assistant

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and assist with patient intake processes.
  • Measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration.
  • Prepare patients for examinations or procedures by explaining steps and ensuring comfort.
  • Assist healthcare providers during medical procedures, including medication administration and minor treatments.
  • Operate EHR (Electronic Health Record) systems to document patient information accurately and efficiently.
  • Support medical imaging procedures such as EKG or other diagnostic tests when applicable.
  • Manage medical supplies, prepare examination rooms, and ensure cleanliness and sterilization standards are maintained.
  • Conduct basic physiology assessments and support patient care activities across outpatient, inpatient, or emergency settings. Requirements
  • Prior experience in clinical settings such as outpatient clinics is highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of , internal medicine, or urgent care environments is a plus.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to ensure readiness for emergency situations.
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and ICD coding practices.
  • Ability to perform clinical tasks including taking vital signs, assisting with medication administration, EKG , Vaccine administration , and patient intake processes.
  • Familiarity with MCIR is a plus.
  • Excellent patient service skills with a compassionate approach to diverse populations including geriatrics and pediatric patients in PICU settings. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
