Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and assist with patient intake processes.
- Measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration.
- Prepare patients for examinations or procedures by explaining steps and ensuring comfort.
- Assist healthcare providers during medical procedures, including medication administration and minor treatments.
- Operate EHR (Electronic Health Record) systems to document patient information accurately and efficiently.
- Support medical imaging procedures such as EKG or other diagnostic tests when applicable.
- Manage medical supplies, prepare examination rooms, and ensure cleanliness and sterilization standards are maintained.
- Conduct basic physiology assessments and support patient care activities across outpatient, inpatient, or emergency settings. Requirements
- Prior experience in clinical settings such as outpatient clinics is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of , internal medicine, or urgent care environments is a plus.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to ensure readiness for emergency situations.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and ICD coding practices.
- Ability to perform clinical tasks including taking vital signs, assisting with medication administration, EKG , Vaccine administration , and patient intake processes.
- Familiarity with MCIR is a plus.
- Excellent patient service skills with a compassionate approach to diverse populations including geriatrics and pediatric patients in PICU settings.
