Medical Assistant

Immediate opening for experienced Medical Assistant for fast paced Primary Care Practice in Alpharetta.

Candidate must have at least 2 years of experience and be able to perform the following:

Medical Assistant Job duties include:

Recording vitals; include: Body temperature, Pulse rate, Respiration rate, Blood pressure, and Blood oxygen saturation.

Updating medical histories and contact information in patient files.

Performing standard care procedures like drawing blood, collecting lab samples.

Assist physicians during patient examinations, and prepare patients for exams

Schedule patient appointments and coordinate care with other healthcare providers.

Calling in prescriptions, administer medication as directed by the physician.

Performing EKG's and Urinalysis.

Apply and remove bandages and dressings, and care for wounds.

Maintain inventory of medical and office supplies.

Working with patient, pharmacy and/or insurance company for Prior Authorizations.

The ideal candidate must be an independent problem solver and have the ability to anticipate the physicians needs.

High Energy team player that can multi-task and be cross trained on multiple job functions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
