Medical Assistant

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Certified Medical Assistant (Required) to join our healthcare team. As a Medical Assistant you will play a crucial role in patient care and assisting Medical Providers in various clinical and administrative tasks. Duties:

Assist Medical Providers with patient examinations and procedures

Take and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and weight

Administer medications as directed by Medical Providers

Perform basic laboratory tests and collect specimens for testing when needed

Provide patient education on medications and procedures

Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records daily

Schedule test or referral appointments (mammograms, ultrasounds, referrals, etc.)

Prior Authorizations

Take nurse calls and follow through with calls

Follow up with patient results for lab and tests

Experience:

OBGYN experience strongly preferred, or at least 3 + years as a certified medical assistant in a clinical setting

Proficiency in performing basic medical procedures, such as taking vital signs and administering medications (Required)

Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy/physiology (Required)

Familiarity with electronic health record systems (ECW preferred but not required)

Skills:

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with patients, healthcare professionals, and other staff members (a must)

Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate documentation and patient care

Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment

Compassionate and empathetic nature to provide quality patient care

Proficient in medical administrative support tasks, such as scheduling appointments and managing patient records

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour
