Medical Assistant

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Bilingual Back Office Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide essential medical administrative support while ensuring high-quality patient care. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, patient service, and various clinical procedures. The Bilingual Back Office Medical Assistant will work closely with healthcare professionals in a fast-paced environment, contributing to the efficient operation of our practice.

Duties

• Assist with patient intake, including gathering medical history.
• Provide support in outpatient settings
• Administer medications and assist with basic life support as needed
• Utilize EHR systems for accurate documentation and patient management
• Conduct ICD coding for proper billing and insurance processing
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure optimal patient care
• Maintain knowledge of anatomy and physiology to assist in clinical tasks
• Support various specialties including internal medicine, geriatrics, and emergency medicine
• Insurance HMO/PPO
• Obtaining medical records from portals
• Prepare patients for examinations and procedures in the clinic or hospital setting
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment

Experience
Candidates should possess experience in a medical setting, demonstrating proficiency in:

• Hospital medicine and clinic experience
• Understanding of medical-surgical practices
• Strong background in patient service and effective communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
