In this vital role, you will support physicians and healthcare providers by performing clinical and administrative duties in outpatient setting. Your expertise will help ensure smooth clinic operations, accurate patient documentation, and compassionate service delivery. Duties

  • Assist with patient intake by collecting medical histories and updating patient information.
  • Measure vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration to support accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
  • Prepare patients for examinations or procedures by explaining processes and ensuring comfort throughout their visit.
  • Support clinical procedures including medication administration, blood draw, wound care, ekg and basic life support when necessary.
  • Maintain detailed documentation within Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, including ICD coding for diagnoses and procedures.
  • Manage medical supplies inventory, sterilize equipment, and ensure the clinical environment adheres to safety standards.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Medical Assistant with exposure to primary care preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required; additional certifications or IV administration certification are a plus.
  • Familiarity with EHR systems for accurate documentation and ICD coding for billing purposes.
  • Ability to perform clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, assisting with intake procedures, and supporting outpatient care activities.
  • Excellent patient service skills with a compassionate approach to diverse populations across age groups.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
