Medical Assistant

Duties

• Assist with patient intake processes, including collecting medical histories and recording vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
• Prepare patients for examinations or procedures by explaining procedures, positioning them appropriately, and ensuring comfort.
• Support physicians with clinical tasks such as administering medications.
• Manage electronic health record (EHR) systems by accurately documenting patient information, updating medical records, and coding diagnoses using ICD (International Classification of Diseases) codes.
• Provide exceptional patient service by answering questions, scheduling follow-up appointments, and ensuring a positive experience throughout their visit.

Requirements

• Previous experience working in a medical office environment.
• Proficiency in medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology is required.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with patients and healthcare team members.
• Knowledge of insurances
• Able to Multi- task
• Able handle confidential information with sensitivity and discretion.

Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour
