Job Title: Medical Assistant (MA) / Clinical Assistant

Salary Range: $18.00 - $22.00 / hour (Depending on certification and experience)Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated, versatile, and proactive Medical Assistant to join our growing outpatient clinic. In this role, you will be the backbone of our daily patient flow, handling everything from clinical back-office duties to vital frontline administrative tasks. The ideal candidate is an adaptable team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional patient care while keeping clinic operations running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Clinical Flow: Escort patients to exam rooms, obtain accurate vital signs, document medical histories, and prepare patients for provider examinations.
  • Provider Support: Assist providers with minor clinical procedures, clinical phone calls, and laboratory specimen collections (including urine tests, rapid tests, and cultures).
  • Administrative Bridge: Support the front office by assisting with patient scheduling, answering clinical inquiries, handling referrals, and obtaining insurance prior authorizations when needed.
  • Patient Care: Educate patients on treatment plans, follow-up care, and safely relay provider instructions.
  • Clinic Maintenance: Keep examination rooms sanitized, fully stocked, and compliant with all local safety and health department standards.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience: Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in an outpatient medical clinic preferred.
  • Certification: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) is highly preferred, but equivalent clinical experience will be considered.
  • Skills: Strong clinical competencies (vitals, injections, lab specimen handling) paired with excellent administrative and phone etiquette.
  • Attributes: High adaptability, strong attention to detail, and a motivated, problem-solving mindset.
  • Tech-Savvy: Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems and standard office software.
