Position Overview
We are seeking a compassionate, organized, and dependable Medical Assistant to join our pediatric practice. The ideal candidate enjoys working with children and families, thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment, and is committed to providing high-quality patient care and excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
- Welcome and room pediatric patients and their families
- Obtain and document vital signs, medical histories, and chief complaints
- Assist providers with examinations and minor procedures
- Administer vaccines and medications as directed by providers
- Prepare exam rooms and maintain cleanliness and supplies
- Schedule appointments and manage patient flow efficiently
- Answer phone calls and respond to patient questions professionally
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records (EMR)
- Follow all HIPAA and infection control guidelines
- Assist with referrals, prior authorizations, and other administrative duties as needed
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Medical Assistant certification preferred (CMA, RMA, or equivalent)
- Pediatric experience preferred but not required
- Current CPR certification preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and work collaboratively in a team environment
- Comfortable working with infants, children, and adolescents
- Experience with EMR systems is a plus
Schedule
Pay: $16.00 - $21.00 per hour
