Baystate Health, a nationally recognized leader in healthcare quality and safety, and home to Baystate Medical Practices, the largest multispecialty group in the region is looking for a full-time Medical Assistant to join our experienced Access Service Team to support the prescription line.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Baystate Health, Medical Assistants on the Access Service Team help ensure patients receive timely access to care while delivering a high level of service to both patients and referring providers by responding to online inquiries and incoming calls.

Working closely with physicians, care teams, and medical practices across the Baystate Health system, you will serve as a key partner in coordinating patient care. This position blends clinical knowledge, administrative expertise, and exceptional customer service to help create a seamless and positive healthcare experience.

SCHEDULE:

  • Full-time, 40 hours a week, Monday through Friday
  • 8:00am-5:00pm
  • Additional weekend hours available

LOCATION:

  • Remote opportunity
  • Candidate must live in MA or CT

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School diploma or GED
  • CPR-Basic Life Support of Healthcare Provider required from the American Heart Association
  • 3+ years of experience working in a medical office
  • Prior experience in a physician’s office or customer service environment
  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent training demonstrating MA III competencies

Skills

  • Typing speed of 25+ words per minute
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English clearly

The base pay range shown above considers the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including knowledge/skills; relevant experience and training; education/certifications/licensure; and other business and organizational factors. This base pay range does not include our comprehensive benefits package and any incentive payments that may be applicable to this role.
