The company is seeking a Medical Assistant and Client Relations to help the growing medical spa continue to provide the best client experience possible. The ideal candidate will be willing and able assist the provider team both in and out of treatment rooms. In this vital role, you will support physicians and healthcare providers by performing clinical and administrative tasks that ensure smooth operations within outpatient, inpatient, and specialized medical settings. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills across diverse medical disciplines, including dermatology, emergency medicine, internal medicine, and hospital medicine.

Duties

  • Establish relationships with members and guests to grow and retain a client base
  • Responding to online inquiries and appointment requests
  • Gathering necessary demographic information from patients to create and update patient accounts
  • Using the computer system to generate invoices for patients according to prescribed procedures, while maintaining detailed patient records
  • Registering patients, completing check in and check out, and providing forms such as medical history and consent to patients for completion
  • Maintaining HIPAA compliance
  • Answering telephone calls and online inquiries
  • Assisting the President and location manager in managing marketing materials, stock, and supplies
  • Assisting the provider team in room preparation and client procedures as needed
  • Comfortability quoting and obtaining payment
  • Driving member retention through outreach via phone and email to current members along with following up with previous patients to ensure patient safety and engagement
  • Educating patients and potential patients on our services, products, promotions, and events
  • Attending and participating in both onsite and offsite events
  • Assisting the Aesthetics Coordinator, Assistant Practice Manager and Owners by completing assigned tasks as needed
  • Maintaining good housekeeping, including laundry, dusting, sweeping, and stocking as needed
  • Meeting monthly Practice goals while driving sales and patient satisfaction through personal performance
  • Assist with patient intake by collecting comprehensive medical histories and documenting vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature.
  • Prepare examination rooms, sterilize equipment, and ensure all necessary supplies are stocked for efficient patient visits.
  • Support physicians during procedures by handing instruments, assisting with procedures, or administering medications under supervision.
  • Manage electronic health record (EHR) systems by accurately entering patient information, updating records, and coding diagnoses using ICD (International Classification of Diseases) codes.
  • Conduct basic life support (BLS) procedures when necessary and respond promptly to emergency situations within hospital or clinic environments.
  • Perform routine clinical tasks such as drawing blood, administering medications, taking patient histories, and assisting with physiologic assessments.
  • Coordinate patient scheduling, verify insurance information, and handle medical administrative support to streamline clinic operations.
  • Support functional wellness care management from intake to follow up including medication order, lab management, and leads.

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology to support accurate patient care.
  • Experience working in diverse settings such as dermatology clinics, emergency departments (including Level I Trauma Centers), hospital wards (medical-surgical units), PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), or Geriatrics environments.
  • Familiarity with hospital experience including inpatient care protocols and Level II trauma center procedures.
  • Proficiency in EHR systems with the ability to document efficiently and accurately; experience with ICD coding is highly desirable.
  • Excellent patient service skills with a compassionate approach to patient interactions across outpatient and inpatient settings.
  • Ability to perform vital signs collection, intake procedures, medication administration, procedural assistance, and basic anatomy knowledge.
  • Prior experience supporting urgent care or emergency medicine teams is a plus; familiarity with hospital medicine workflows enhances your effectiveness. Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • Medical Assistant Certification or Esthetician License
  • Ability to use various computer systems such as Microsoft products and point-of-sales systems
  • Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years customer service experience
  • Strong communication, high attention to detail, and rapport-building skills
  • Is a self-starter with drive, passion for aesthetics, and a friendly, outgoing personality
  • Ability to multi-task and present sound judgement
  • Strong math, analytical, and follow-up skills
  • Candidate must be able to work one weekend a month
  • Experience in medical aesthetics or sales preferred
  • Self-motivated and self-directed
  • Ability to focus on accuracy and detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to adapt to changing company priorities

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
