Medical Assistant (Certified) - Pediatric Practice

Fort Collins Youth Clinic and Pediatric Urgent Care of Northern Colorado is hiring a full time Medical Assistant to work 4 days per week.

This position will rotate through our 4 offices located in Fort Collins, Timnath and Loveland. Schedule will be mostly weekday hours, and will include some evenings, weekends and two holiday shifts per year .

Compensation includes a differential to be paid for evening, weekend and holiday hours worked.

New grads will be considered!

Compensation includes a full benefits package to staff working a minimum of 28 hours per week.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Running point of care lab tests
  • Rooming patients and cleaning rooms
  • Assist or perform procedures (e.g. ECGs, PFTs, immunizations, etc.)
  • Answering lab questions, phone calls and communication with patients, parents and co-workers
  • Complete accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record
  • Ordering and stocking medical supplies and vaccine inventory
  • Serve as a mentor and resource to others
  • Work independently within their scope of practice to achieve clinical outcomes
  • Maintain a level of professional development through continuing education, quality improvement initiatives and sharing of knowledge

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Education: Graduate of accredited Medical Assistant program
  • Certification as Medical Assistant in the state of Colorado
  • CPR/BLS Certification
  • Prefer Pediatric or Primary Care clinical experience, immunization experience
  • Professional attitude and proactiveness to help team in all situations
  • The ability to think and function independently
  • Calm demeanor in stressful situations
  • Strong computer and communication skills are essential

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
