Medical Assistant for Primary care and Urgent Care

HIRING CERTIFIED MEDICAL ASSISTANT (CMA)
Pay: $20–$22/hour (based on experience)
Schedule: Full-time | Approximately 72–80 hours biweekly

OneSpotMD Primary & Urgent Care is a physician-owned practice serving the Charlotte area with two clinic locations. We are seeking a motivated, dependable, and team-oriented Certified Medical Assistant to join our growing team.

At OneSpotMD, we provide a hybrid model of Primary Care + Urgent Care, creating opportunities for staff to develop a broad range of clinical and administrative skills.

Responsibilities:

• Cross-train in both clinical and front desk duties
• Check patients in and out
• Verify insurance information
• Gather and document patient information including medical history, medications, vital signs, and other pertinent data
• Assist providers with procedures
• Dispense medications
• Perform phlebotomy
• Conduct in-house testing (Rapid Strep, Flu, COVID, Urinalysis, Mono, Urine hCG)
• Prepare laboratory paperwork and specimens for outside pickups
• Schedule and confirm outside referrals
• Maintain excellent patient flow and customer service

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program
• Active Medical Assistant Certification required
• Current BLS/CPR certification
• Phlebotomy experience preferred
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
