Baptist Health is hiring a Medical Assistant II for our Lakewood Primary Care office located in Jacksonville, FL. This is a Full-Time opportunity.

The ideal candidate will perform back-office Medical Assistant duties, including rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, and assisting providers. Strong documentation skills and experience with chart preparation and performing EKGs are strongly preferred.

Medical Assistant II, Job Responsibilities:

• Provides medical assistance to physicians
• Obtains vital signs
• Greets and chaperones patients during medical visit
• Maintains strong medical documentation
• Schedules care, treatment, diagnostic tests per physician
• Processes prescription requests and referrals

Experience Requirements:

• 3= years Patient Care Experience
• Experience in Physician's office

Education & Credential Requirements:

• High School Diploma/GED Required
• Associate of Arts/Science Preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
• Certified Medical Assistant Required
