New England Cancer Specialists (NECS) is currently seeking a Full-Time 40 hr./week Medical Assistant Team in our Westbrook Rock Row Clinic. The Medical Assistant will give top line care to a wide variety of patients dealing with cancer and blood disorders. A strong phlebotomy background is required. Duties include phlebotomy, ability to collect samples using a variety of techniques, monitoring lab results as needed, scheduling follow-up lab appointments, entering and accessing patient information from the EMR, , inventorying, and managing supplies. The Lab Medical assistant is a vital member of the NECS care model and is often the first clinician that patients see during an appointment.

This state-of-the-art facility brings together a comprehensive range of services under one roof, including surgery, medical oncology, radiation oncology, genetic counseling, survivorship programs, nutrition support, and behavioral health counseling. Every detail of the campus reflects a commitment to patient-centered care, ensuring that individuals and their families feel supported throughout their cancer journey in a warm and welcoming environment.
