Responsibilities

• Assist physician during Mohs surgical procedures
• Collect patient histories, and medication information accurately using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems
• Prepare and maintain sterile surgical field
• Set up and break down procedure rooms
• Assist with closures, bandaging, and wound care
• Manage medical supplies and equipment, including sterilization and inventory
• Remove sutures and provide post-operative care instructions
• Prepare biopsy and pathology specimens

Scribing & Documentation:

• Provide real-time scribing during patient visits
• Accurately document history, physical exam findings, procedures, and treatment plans in EMR
• Ensure complete and compliant charting

Qualifications:

• Minimum 1–2 years Mohs surgery experience required
• Dermatology experience strongly preferred
• Prior medical scribing experience required
• Strong knowledge of sterile technique
• Excellent typing and documentation skills
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure
• EMR experience (ModMed preferred, if applicable)
• Professional, compassionate bedside manner

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with dermatologic pathology workflows
• Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding basics
• Strong organizational and communication skills
