Medical Assistant or Registered Nurse

Chest Medicine Associates (CMA) is seeking a motivated Medical Assistant (MA) or Registered Nurse (RN) to join our pulmonology and sleep medicine team on a fulltime basis.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll be a key part of our patient care team, helping keep clinic flow smooth and communication clear.

Clinical Care

  • Room patients and obtain/document vital signs
  • Review and confirm patient information in the EMR
  • Assist with prescription refill processing under provider direction
  • Coordinate prior authorizations for medications and testing
  • Support completion of DME, BMV, and other required forms

Communication & Coordination

  • Manage incoming calls and patient portal messages
  • Triage and route messages appropriately
  • Communicate provider recommendations, results, and instructions to patients clearly and professionally

Administrative Support

  • Assist with scheduling and confirming visits and testing
  • Upload and organize documents in the EMR
  • Support overall clinic workflow

What We’re Looking For

Required

  • Current BLS certification
  • Active Maine RN license (for RN applicants)
  • Strong EMR and computer proficiency
  • Excellent communication skills
  • High level of professionalism and confidentiality

Preferred

  • Accredited MA program completion (for MA applicants)
  • Prior clinical experience (MA or RN)
  • Experience in pulmonology or sleep medicine
