Medical Assistant – Remote Patient Monitoring

QOROS Cardiovascular is seeking a Medical Assistant for a Full - Time Remote Patient Monitoring opportunity located in Webster, TX. This is an in-office based position located in a Cardiology private practice setting.

Please note, this is “not” a work from home opportunity. The Medical Assistant is based in - office and monitors patients who are part of the Remote Patient Monitoring program.

QUICK GLANCE: Onboarding patients, monitoring clinical data from RPM devices, ensuring timely follow-up with patients and providers, and maintaining compliance with applicable regulations and organizational policies. Serves as a liaison between patients, providers, and care teams to ensure optimal care and improved health outcomes.

POSITION SUMMARY:

• Coordinate the enrollment and onboarding of patients into the RPM program.
• Educate patients on the use of RPM devices
• Monitor incoming patient data and escalate abnormal findings to appropriate clinical staff.
• Track and document patient compliance and engagement with monitoring protocols.
• Collaborate with care teams to support patient care plans and follow-up needs.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in the EMR
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, CMS guidelines, and other relevant regulations.
• Act as the primary point of contact for patients enrolled in the RPM program.
• Troubleshoot device-related issues and coordinate with technical support as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• AS or BS degree in healthcare-related field (Nursing, Public Health, Health Administration, etc.) preferred
• Prior experience in telehealth, remote monitoring, or care coordination strongly preferred.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Comfortable with technology, especially health-related platforms and devices
• Knowledge of HIPAA and patient privacy laws
• EMR Experience required, eClinicalWorks preferred
• Bilingual Spanish preferred, not a requirement

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
