We currently have clinics located in Boulder (2 locations), Louisville, Longmont, and Erie.

Summary:

Boulder Medical Center (BMC) is seeking medically trained candidates to join our Dermatology team as a Medical Assistant. We have two benefits-eligible, full-time openings, both based at our Broadway clinic, 2750 Broadway St., Boulder, CO 80304.

We are hiring for the following opportunities:

• Support Laura Norman, PA-C - This position works 36 hours per week, four days, with Thursdays off. Laura's practice emphasizes open communication, collaboration, and patient education. She provides care for adult and pediatric patients, including skin cancer screenings and treatment, acne, eczema, psoriasis, and more.

• Support Kayla Jerde, PA-C - This position works 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday. Kayla values building long-term relationships with patients and delivering confidence-boosting dermatologic care. She brings extensive clinical experience and a strong focus on patient education and shared decision-making.

Job Duties:

• Perform clinic administrative duties, including but not limited to, answering incoming telephone calls, obtaining and/or verifying patient information, patient check in/out, coordinate and facilitate accurate patient appointment
• Obtain patient medical history, vital signs, chart preparation, medication dosage and frequency, patient allergens, and assist with medical examinations
• Maintain accurate and strict confidentiality of patient information in electronic and/or manual systems as established by the appropriate protocols, regulations, and policies
• Preparing examination room, ensuring proper equipment is present and room is adequately stocked
• Document all aspects of the patient encounter on an electronic medical record system

Experience and Skills:

• Good history-taking skills, strong, competent computer skills; accurate and complete documentation skills; good time management and organizational skills.
• Relate well and communicate with patients, providers, and staff.
• Able to demonstrate self-direction in establishing priorities and working with little supervision.

Education Requirements (one of the following options):

• Completion of Medical Assistant education. *Certification is not required but preferred.
• Other completed medical training, education, and proof of active certification is an acceptable substitution of Medical Assistant specific credentials. (Examples include but are not limited to: EMT, Surgical Tech, CNA, etc.).
• Military medical training and education with supporting documentation is an acceptable substitution of Medical Assistant specific credentials.
• College graduates with a completed four (4) year bachelor's degree is an acceptable substitution of Medical Assistant specific credentials. *College transcripts must reflect completed health science course work. Please submit a copy of your unofficial college transcripts at the time of applying.

Experience:

• Previous experience as a Medical Assistant (MA) in a clinic setting, preferred

The starting hourly pay range for this position is commensurate with experience:

• $18.91 - $25.21/hour (full pay range is $18.91 - $28.36)

This position will be posted for a minimum of three days, subsequently until filled.
