Medical Assistant - Street Medicine

UNM Medical Group, Inc. is hiring for a Medical Assistant to join our Street Medicine team. This opportunity is a full-time day shift opening located in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our Mobile Medical team — a program that brings healthcare directly to individuals experiencing homelessness and living in unsheltered environments. This is a unique opportunity for an MA who is passionate about health equity, social justice, and meeting people where they are.

Required: Possession of a valid unrestricted NM driver's license.

Sign-On Bonus - $2,000

Minimum $38,948 - Midpoint $47,819*

• Salary is determined based on years of total relevant experience.

• Salary is based on 1.0 FTE (full time equivalent) or 40 hours per week. Less than 40 hours/week will be prorated and adjusted to the appropriate FTE.

Summary:

In this role, you won’t be confined to a clinic or office. Instead, you'll support a mobile care team in delivering essential medical services in the field — on sidewalks, in encampments, and in other non-traditional settings. From assisting with vital signs and clinical documentation to building trust with patients facing complex barriers to care, your work will be hands-on, human-centered, and deeply impactful.

Minimum Job Requirements of a Medical Assistant:

Verification of education and licensure (if applicable) will be required if selected for hire.
