Medical Assistant/Back Office - Evening Shift

Valley Urgent Care is seeking for a compassionate Medical Assistant. The ideal Medical Assistant will have the ability to work in a busy environment, self-motivated with excellent communication skills and overall someone with a great can-do attitude. Job Duties:

• Minimum 1-2 years experience of Back Office
• Knowledgeable in the front office (not required)
• Ability to perform a proper 12-lead EKG
• Ability to perform vitals and properly triage patients
• Assisting in preparing suture trays, ingrown toenail removal trays, IV trays, I&D trays, pelvic exam trays
• Assisting with minor procedures, wound care
• Perform, read and chart routine lab tests such as flu, urine pregnancy, hemoglobin, strep, urinalysis, etc.
• Ability to package and send specimen to the proper laboratories
• Performing proper injections and venipunctures
• Ability to call patients for lab/imaging results and properly documenting phone calls in the patients chart
• Calling pharmacies for prescriptions
• Sending end of day reports/files
• Keeping lab tidy/clean
• Cleaning/sanitizing patient rooms after each use
• COVID-19 testing

Schedule:

• Monday - Friday: 11:30Am-7:30pm
• Saturday (2-3 Saturdays a month - required): 10am-3pm

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.50 per hour
