Medical Assistant / CNA Assistant Instructor

Wallingford Adult Education is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Medical Assistant/CNA
Assistant Instructor to join our adult education team.

Location: Sheehan High School, Wallingford, CT
Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 5:00pm - 8:30pm
Classes Begin: As needed starting September 1, 2026

Responsibilities:

• Maintain a safe environment at all times, whether in the classroom or clinical site.

• Assist lead instructor with Skills Demonstration, breakout sessions, practical hands on

procedures such as ECG application, infection control practices, basic patient hygiene.

• Accompany the lead instructor and students to local clinical rotation sites, long term

care facilities,

• Monitor student and patient interactions, bedside manner, safety

• Provide support such as maintaining attendance records, assisting with grading exams,

lab assignments.

• Participate in student progress reports and evaluations.

Qualifications:

• 1-3 years’ recent professional healthcare experience as a Medical Assistant, CNA, and/or

PCT preferred.

Compensation:

• $16.94 per hour
