Toledo Clinic's Family Practice office located on Park Center Ct in Toledo OH is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant. This position will work Monday (8:30-5:00), Tuesday (7:30-2:00), Wednesday (8:30-5:00) and Friday (8:30-5:00).
Qualified candidates will have previous medical assisting experience with an MA diploma/certificate and MA credential (RMA/CMA/CCMA).
Toledo Clinic is offering a $2,000 Sign-On Bonus to qualified Medical Assistants. If qualified, sign on bonuses are payable within 30 days of hire to employees that have active and verified credentials (ex: RMA/CMA/CCMA/CPCT-A). For employees that have not yet obtained or renewed their credential, the Sign-On Bonus is payable once the credential is obtained and verified. After one year of service, qualified Medical Assistants may be eligible for an additional $2,000 Retention Bonus.
General Summary
Assist providers with patient treatment, prepares patient for providers, and performs various clerical duties.
Works under the supervision of the Office Manager.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Consistently arrives at work on time and adheres to regular work schedule.

Assist providers with patient care (i.e.: assisting with minor procedures/surgeries such as removing sutures, staples, moles, etc.).

Various clerical duties (i.e.: answering phones, scheduling appointments, handling patient charts, etc.).

Escorting patients to exam room.
-
Preparing exam rooms.
-
Preparing patient for providers (i.e.: histories, blood pressure, vitals, etc.).

Sterilizing and preparing instruments.
-
At the request of the physician, calling in prescription refills.
-
Order and maintain exam room supplies and instruments.

Follow up with lab work and/or x-rays.

Administering injections.

Education:

Medical Assisting degree or diploma from an accredited school.
Preferred:
