Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Scribe to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to accurately document patient encounters in real-time. This role is essential in ensuring that medical records are complete and up-to-date, allowing for improved patient care and streamlined clinical workflows.
Responsibilities
- Accurately document patient histories, physical exams, and other relevant information during medical encounters.
- Assist healthcare providers in the documentation of patient care in various settings including urgent care, inpatient, and emergency medicine.
- Ensure that all medical records comply with legal and ethical standards.
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure efficient workflow and communication within the healthcare team.
- Maintain knowledge of anatomy, medication administration, vital signs, and basic life support protocols to enhance documentation accuracy.
- Participate in training sessions to stay updated on best practices for medical documentation.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of anatomy and medical terminology.
- Familiarity with medication administration protocols and vital sign assessment.
- Experience or knowledge in urgent care, inpatient care, hospital medicine, internal medicine, or emergency medicine is preferred.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team setting.
- Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems is a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $16.50 per hour
