Medical Assistant/Receptionist

Overview
We are seeking a friendly, dedicated, hardworking, and detail-oriented full time pediatric Medical assistant/receptionist to join our healthcare team. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical office, providing support to both patients and healthcare professionals. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care. Benefits include convenient work schedule, Monday through Friday 830am to 5pm, no weekends. Paid time off, health plan, snack room, and occasional lunches by drug reps or the company.

Responsibilities

  • Work with office manager and support staff to schedule patient appointments and manage schedules efficiently, ensuring timely service delivery.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with privacy regulations.
  • Sending patient records and referrals.
  • Provide clerical support including filing of results and making patient charts.
  • Utilize phone etiquette to communicate effectively with patients, addressing inquiries and concerns professionally.
  • Medical reception duties including greeting patients and managing front desk operations.
  • Take basic vitals of patients, and administer vaccines when needed

Skills

  • Strong understanding of medical office schedule management practices.
  • Excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in managing medical records with attention to detail.
  • Ability to perform clerical tasks efficiently while maintaining accuracy.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology will enhance the ability to perform reception duties effectively.
