Medical Assistant/Receptionist

Currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Part-Time Medical Assistant to join our team. We are a fast-paced Internal Medicine Office specializing in hormone and weight loss committed to providing high-quality care to our patients. The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented, compassionate, and professional individual with proven experience in phlebotomy, injections, and performing EKGs.

Responsibilities

• Perform phlebotomy (venipuncture and capillary) with precision and care, following all safety protocols.
• Administer injections (e.g., intramuscular, subcutaneous) and immunizations as directed by the provider.
• Operate and perform EKGs with accuracy and proficiency.
• Prepare and maintain patient exam rooms, ensuring a sterile and organized environment.
• Record patient medical histories, vital signs, and test results in the EMR system.
• Assist providers with patient examinations and other clinical procedures.
• Manage medical records and maintain strict patient confidentiality.
• Provide clear and compassionate communication to patients and their families.
• Perform various administrative duties as needed, such as scheduling and answering phones.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.
• Certification: Current certification as a Medical Assistant is highly preferred.
• Experience: Proven experience in a clinical setting, demonstrating proficiency in phlebotomy, injections, and EKGs.
• Skills: Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills. A passion for patient care is a must.
