As a Medical Assistant, you will be responsible for providing clinical support to ensure efficient operation of the medical office. You will support doctors, physician assistants, and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization and communication. The target is to complete all activities accurately, with high quality and in a timely manner.
Responsibilities
- Interview patients and document basic medical history
- Serve as a scribe during the medical/ cosmetic visit encounters
- Communicate lab results to patients as per the doctor's instructions
- Answer phone calls regarding patients' medical questions
- Assist during medical examinations and surgical procedures
- Prepare and clean treatment rooms and medical instruments
- Prepare patients for cosmetic procedures
- Any other clinical tasks as assigned by the managers
- Scribe visits with the guidance of the provider
Skills
- Proven working experience as a clinical medical assistant
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
- Social perceptiveness, service oriented and a team player
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Preferred EMR experience: Modernizing Medicine's EMA
- Dermatology experience preferred
