Medical Assistant/Scribe

We are a growing, fast-paced dermatology practice seeking an experienced Medical Assistant/Scribe to join our collaborative team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys direct patient care, assisting in dermatologic procedures, and working closely with providers in a high-quality specialty practice focused on delivering an outstanding patient experience.

The ideal candidate is compassionate, dependable, detail-oriented, and thrives in a busy clinical environment. Candidates who enjoy teamwork, patient interaction, and expanding their dermatology knowledge will be especially successful in this role.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct clinical support to one or more dermatology providers
• Scribe patient visits in the electronic medical record in real time as directed by the provider
• Prepare patients for visits by obtaining medical history, medications, and chief complaints
• Assist providers with medical and surgical dermatology procedures including biopsies, excisions, and other in-office treatments
• Communicate test results and follow-up instructions to patients
• Obtain insurance prior authorizations
• Coordinate patient care and maintain strong communication with patients, pharmacies, and other healthcare offices
• Follow established clinical workflows, protocols, and standards to ensure efficient, high-quality patient care

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Medical Assistant preferred
• Dermatology experience strongly preferred
• Medical Assistant certification preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Ability to multitask, stay organized, and maintain attention to detail
• Strong teamwork and problem-solving skills
• Experience with electronic medical records preferred
• Professional, empathetic, and patient-focused demeanor

Schedule & Travel

• Full-time position
• Typical shifts are 8–10 hours
• Travel between our Leominster, Gardner, and Hudson offices is required

Compensation

Compensation starts at $20/hour for entry-level candidates, with higher compensation available for experienced dermatology Medical Assistants/Scribes based on experience, clinical skills, and prior dermatology experience.
