We have openings in multiple clinics due to many of our current employees being accepted to medical/PA school!

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role as a Medical Assistant/Scribe at Legacy Orthopedics & Sports Medicine. The Medical Assistant/Scribe will be responsible for assisting with clinical tasks such as obtaining histories, preparing patients for exams, applying durable medical equipment, and maintaining medical records. The Medical Assistant/Scribe will also act as a scribe to our physicians, documenting patient care, prescriptions, and communicating with insurance companies. The Medical Assistant/Scribe will also be trained to help coordinate surgery and/or procedures for our providers, allowing for a well-rounded exposure.

• Gap-year students are encouraged to apply
• Excellent communication, organization, and time-management skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of electronic medical records (EMR) and medical terminology
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines
