Medical Biller - Full Time - $18-$22 per hour - Plus Incentive Compensation

Work Location: On-site only

Position Duties/Responsibilities

Working with our in-house billing team, you will be responsible for working claims processing on our Athena billing system from scrubbing and transmitting claims, to working rejections, processing and posting payments, collaborating with our providers, interacting with insurance companies, handling patient billing phone calls and ensuring claims are processed in a timely and effective manner.

Education

Must be a high school graduate or the equivalent with GED.

Required Skills/Abilities

Minimum 2 years experience in medical office or hospital professional billing.

Experience with Athena billing system software preferred.

Proven knowledge of professional billing claims processing.

Proficiency with computers and hospital EMRs.

Knowledge of insurance guidelines.

General familiarity with ICD-10 and CPT coding, Medicare and Medicaid guidelines, and charge capture software.

Strong ability to community with insurance Payors and patients and our providers.

Strong work ethic.

Excellent team player.

Excellent customer service skills.

Maintain strict confidentiality and adherence to HIPAA.

Pay and Benefits
