Dedicated Medical Biller to drive the day-to-day revenue cycle for a busy Women’s Health practice. You will be the engine behind our billing operations—ensuring claims are clean, denials are minimized, and A/R stays lean. We are looking for a hands-on expert who is deeply familiar with the nuances of women's health and ultrasound coding and payer requirements. Systems: Kareo/Tebra and PracticeFusion.
THIS IS AN IN-OFFICE POSITION IN ALBUQUERQUE, NEW MEXICO
What you’ll do:
- Full Cycle Ownership: Handle end-to-end billing including charge capture, scrubbing, daily claim submission, payment posting, and patient statements.
- A/R & Denial Management: Aggressively work the aging report; identify denial trends, file timely appeals, and resolve insurance/patient balances.
- Accuracy & Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to HIPAA guidelines and verify that documentation supports CPT/ICD-10 code selection.
- Front-End Collaboration: Work closely with the front desk and clinicians to resolve eligibility issues or documentation gaps.
- Reporting: Assist in tracking weekly/monthly billing metrics to ensure practice health.
What you bring:
- 3–5+ years of RCM experience; specific experience in Women's Health/OB-GYN is a significant plus.
- Technical Expertise: Strong mastery of CPT/ICD-10, modifiers, Medicare/Medicaid MCOs, Tricare, and commercial payer rules.
- Software Proficiency: Hands-on experience with Kareo/Tebra and PracticeFusion is strongly preferred.
- Detail-Oriented: A "detective" mindset for resolving complex denials and a high level of data entry accuracy.
- Certifications: CPB, CMRS, or CPC preferred (or equivalent proven experience).
- Professionalism: Excellent communication skills for patient collections and insurance representative inquiries.
Compensation:
- Philosophy: Most hires start in the middle of the range based on experience and demonstrated efficiency. We value reliability and a track record of maintaining low A/R days. A 90-day performance review will be conducted with potential for pay adjustment.
- Leveling: Hiring for Medical Biller; title may be adjusted to Senior Medical Biller based on years of specialized experience.
- Pay: Target hiring range $20–$25/hr (commensurate with experience).
