Role Description

The full-time Medical Biller will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and efficient billing processes at Palmetto GI. Responsibilities include handling medical billing tasks, processing insurance claims, addressing claim denials, and managing payment posting. The candidate will work closely with patients for billing inquiries while adhering to compliance regulations and maintaining accurate records. Please note this is an on-site position based in Charleston, SC.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Medical Terminology and familiarity with ICD-10 coding
• Experience working with insurance claims, including billing and eligibility verification
• Ability to handle and resolve insurance denials effectively
• Knowledge and understanding of Medicare policies and procedures
• Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Previous experience in medical billing or a related role is preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certifications in medical billing or coding are a plus
