Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Medical Biller to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing billing processes, ensuring accuracy in medical coding, and facilitating timely collections. This role is crucial in maintaining the financial health of our medical practice while ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.

Duties

• Process patient billing and insurance claims accurately and efficiently.
• Review and verify patient information, including insurance coverage and eligibility.
• Utilize ICD-10 coding systems to assign correct codes for diagnoses and procedures.
• Communicate with insurance companies regarding claim status, denials, and appeals.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with regulations.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to resolve billing discrepancies or issues.
• Stay updated on changes in medical billing regulations and coding standards.
• Assist in the collection of outstanding payments from patients and insurance providers.

Skills

• Proficient in medical billing processes and terminology.
• Strong understanding of medical coding, including ICD-10, and CPT codes.
• Experience with medical collection practices and procedures.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and medical office operations.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong communication skills for effective interaction with patients, providers, and insurance companies.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
