Full job description

This is NOT a remote position.

Responsibilities:- Review and analyze medical records to ensure accurate coding and billing- Assign appropriate codes using, ICD-10, and DRG coding systems- Verify patient information and insurance coverage for billing purposes- Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies- Follow up on unpaid claims and resolve any billing discrepancies- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure accurate documentation and coding

-Payment posting

- Process claim appeals

- Manage AR management and follow up

- Patient collection calls

- Various other duties as assigned

-obtain approvals from insurance companies

Requirements:- Proven experience as a Medical Biller or in a similar role- Proficient in medical coding using ICD-10, and DRG coding systems- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology- Familiarity with insurance guidelines and reimbursement processes- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in coding and billing procedures- Excellent communication skills to interact with patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Candidate should be passionate about the field they are working in, initiate and problem solve.

Note: Certification in medical billing or coding is preferred but not required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
