Key Responsibilities

• Submit, track, and manage insurance claims accurately and efficiently
• Identify, analyze, and resolve claim denials and rejections in a timely manner
• Work denied claims from start to resolution, including appeals and follow-ups
• Ensure proper use of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS codes for pediatric therapy services
• Verify patient insurance benefits and eligibility as needed
• Communicate with insurance companies regarding claim status and discrepancies
• Monitor accounts receivable and maintain strong follow-up on outstanding balances
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to ensure accurate documentation and billing
• Maintain compliance with all healthcare billing regulations and payer requirements

What We’re Looking For

• 2–5+ years of medical billing experience, preferably in a healthcare or pediatric setting
• Strong experience with claims management and denial resolution (REQUIRED)
• Solid understanding of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding
• Experience working with commercial insurance, Medicaid, and managed care plans
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and manage a high volume of claims
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in speech therapy, occupational therapy, or pediatric billing
• Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems and billing software
• Knowledge of payer-specific guidelines and appeals processes
