Medical Biller/Collector

Join Vibrant Health Solutions/TherapyWorks, a well-established physical therapy practice with thirty years of trusted patient care in the community. As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced Medical Biller/Collector who takes pride in accuracy, professionalism, and results.

In this role, you will handle the full billing and collections cycle, requiring solid working knowledge of medical billing practices and insurance processes. Success here depends on more than technical skill. You will be the voice of our practice in sensitive financial conversations, so clear communication, active listening, and genuine professionalism are essential.

The ideal candidate is organized, self-motivated, and comfortable controlling multiple priorities without losing attention to detail. You work well independently and as part of a collaborative team, and you bring a patient-centered mindset to every interaction.

Responsibilities

• Enter and maintain accurate patient data and payment records in our physical therapy EMR system
• Submit timely and accurate claims through Claim MD
• Verify insurance coverage and eligibility prior to or at time of billing
• Identify and correct claim errors promptly to minimize reimbursement delays
• Manage collections activity to ensure accounts are followed up on in a timely manner
• Process bank deposits accurately and maintain proper documentation
• Generate and distribute daily, weekly, monthly, and annual reports as required
• Talk with patients about billing questions, copays, or account issues.
• Maintain strict patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA requirements
• Attend staff meetings and provide coverage support during staff absences
• Assist with additional administrative tasks as needed to support smooth office operations

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of medical billing and collections experience, preferably in a physical therapy or outpatient rehabilitation setting
• Experience with physical therapy EMR systems preferred
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities

Position Details

• Job Type: Part-time, with hours expected to increase over time
• Schedule: Monday through Friday, 4-hour shifts
• Work Location: Onsite
• Pay: $19.00 – $22.00 per hour
