In this vital role, you will be responsible for translating medical procedures and diagnoses into standardized codes, managing billing cycles, and maintaining precise documentation. Duties

• Review and analyze medical records to assign appropriate ICD-10 (International Classification of Diseases, 10th Revision), CPT (Current Procedural Terminology), and DRG (Diagnosis-Related Group) codes for billing purposes.
• Ensure accurate coding using ICD-9 (International Classification of Diseases, 9th Revision) where applicable, along with ICD coding updates and guidelines.
• Prepare and submit clean claims to insurance companies through electronic Medical Billing systems integrated with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) or EHR (Electronic Health Records) platforms.
• Follow up on unpaid or rejected claims by conducting effective Medical Collection activities while adhering to compliance standards.
• Maintain detailed and organized Medical Records, ensuring all documentation aligns with coding requirements and legal standards.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify diagnoses or procedures when necessary to ensure precise coding.
• Stay current with industry regulations, including updates in ICD coding standards, CPT coding changes, and healthcare compliance policies.
• Other duties based on experience maybe assigned. Role can be modified from time to time based on need.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Medical Billing, Medical Coding, or a related healthcare administrative role.
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10, ICD-9, CPT coding systems, and DRG classifications.
• Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems used for medical documentation and billing processes.
• Excellent understanding of Medical Terminology and Medical Records management.
• Ability to interpret complex medical documentation accurately for coding purposes.
• Experience with Medical Billing software and Medical Collection procedures is preferred.

Pay: $24.78 - $29.84 per hour
