Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Medical Billing Associate (RCM Specialist) to join our Revenue Cycle Management team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and processing accurate medical bills and HCFA (CMS-1500) claim forms, ensuring compliance with payer requirements and coding standards. This role requires strong knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding systems, along with a solid understanding of U.S. healthcare billing processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and generate accurate medical bills and HCFA (CMS-1500) claim forms based on patient encounters and medical documentation.
• Review and validate patient demographics, provider details, insurance information, and service codes before claim creation.
• Apply correct CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS codes to ensure claims meet payer requirements.
• Verify claim accuracy and completeness prior to submission to clearinghouses or insurance payers.
• Identify and correct billing errors to minimize claim rejections and denials.
• Coordinate with Coding, Charge Entry, and Accounts Receivable (AR) teams to ensure timely billing.
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and payer-specific regulations.
• Assist with claim resubmissions, adjustments, and appeals as needed.
• Maintain organized billing records and documentation for audits and reporting purposes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Healthcare Administration, or a related field (preferred).
• 1–3 years of experience in U.S. Medical Billing, Medical Claims, or Revenue Cycle Management (RCM).
• Experience preparing HCFA/CMS-1500 claim forms.
• Familiarity with billing software such as Kareo, AdvancedMD, eClinicalWorks, Athenahealth, or similar platforms.
• Strong understanding of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding systems.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
