We are seeking motivated professionals to join our Medical Billing Operations team. This role blends customer service expertise with healthcare billing responsibilities, offering an opportunity to grow in a dynamic BPO environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor overdue accounts and manage receivables for both patient and insurance balances.
- Resubmit claims with proper documentation to ensure compliance and medical necessity.
- Handle insurance denials by filing appeals and following up until resolution.
- Retrieve, reconcile, and post payments accurately using Explanation of Benefits (EOBs).
- Track and report denial patterns to support process improvements.
- Enter charges and payments within EMR/EHR systems.
- Coordinate with providers to resolve incomplete or unclear claim information.
- Process claims promptly and accurately.
- Conduct follow-ups with insurance companies on unpaid accounts using aging reports.
- Collaborate across departments to maintain smooth workflows.
- Manage multiple communication channels (calls, emails, chats, faxes) with professionalism.
- Maintain clear documentation and adhere to established protocols.
- Support team success by taking on additional responsibilities as needed.
Requirements
- Excellent communication skills with strong listening and writing ability.
- Experience with EMR/EHR systems preferred.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work under pressure.
- Strong computer literacy and adaptability in fast-paced environments.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in customer support or documentation.
- Educational qualification: A Levels / Graduation or higher.
- Prior medical billing experience will be an advantage.
