Medical Billing Specialist

Job Description

The AR Specialist will be responsible for daily communicating with patients, collections agencies, and client staff.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manages the account receivable aging for patient responsibility.
• Communicate with patients to ensure understanding of their account
• Work with patients to establish payment plans in accordance with the client policy
• Handle collections process for aged accounts
• Generate monthly patient statements
• Maintains new and existing collection files
• Complete all required reports within a timely manner
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma, or equivalent
• Two (2) years of account receivable experience in the healthcare industry
• Must have excellent written and oral communication skills, including exceptional customer service.
• Must be able to work individually as well as within a team.
• Must be able to establish an effective working relationships with coworkers and client staff
• Must be able to demonstrate extreme attention to detail
• Must have patience and understanding during stressful conditions
• Maintain a professional attitude and appearance at all time
• Must be able to multi-task and prioritize

Job Type: Full-time

Hourly rate between $16.00 and $18.00 with room for growth

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour

Experience:

• CPT Coding: 1 year (Preferred)
• Medical Billing: 2 years (Required)
• ICD-10: 2 years (Required)
