<Duties>

• Prepare and submit medical claims using CPT (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD-10, and DRG (Diagnosis-Related Group) coding systems to insurance companies accurately and efficiently.
• Review medical records and documentation to ensure proper coding compliance with medical terminology standards.
• Follow up on unpaid or denied claims through effective medical collection strategies, reducing outstanding balances.
• Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems before billing.
• Reconcile billing discrepancies by analyzing medical records, coding errors, or documentation issues.
• Maintain detailed records of billing activities, claim submissions, adjustments, and collections to ensure audit readiness.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify diagnoses or procedures requiring precise ICD coding for optimal reimbursement.

<Requirements>

• Experience in medical billing with a solid understanding of medical coding including ICD-10, ICD coding, and DRG systems.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, medical records management, and healthcare documentation standards.
• Familiarity with EMR and EHR systems for efficient claim processing and record keeping.
• Ability to interpret complex medical information accurately for billing purposes.
• Excellent attention to detail to minimize errors in coding and billing submissions.
