HealthMonitor1 is a rapidly growing, cardiology-focused healthcare organization with multiple providers delivering cardiovascular care across mobile, SNF/ALF, and virtual care settings. In addition to traditional cardiology services, we provide Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM) and preventive cardiology management programs.

As we continue expanding, we are strengthening our internal revenue cycle operations and are seeking an experienced Medical Billing Specialist to join our in-office team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a high-volume cardiology environment and is looking for long-term growth within a scaling organization.

Position Overview

The Medical Billing Specialist will be responsible for managing all aspects of the medical billing process for cardiology and RPM services. This includes charge entry, claim submission, payment posting, AR follow-up, and denial resolution.

This is a fully in-office position. Remote work is not available.

Key ResponsibilitiesBilling & Claims Management

  • Submit clean claims for cardiology E/M services, diagnostics, procedures, and RPM.
  • Perform accurate charge entry and claim review prior to submission.
  • Post payments and adjustments from ERA/EOBs.
  • Reconcile remittances and identify discrepancies.
  • Correct and resubmit rejected claims in a timely manner.

AR & Denial Management

  • Work assigned AR to reduce aging and improve collections.
  • Investigate denied or underpaid claims.
  • Submit appeals and corrected claims as necessary.
  • Follow up with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payers.
  • Maintain detailed documentation within eClinicalWorks.

Compliance & Accuracy

  • Maintain thorough understanding of:
  • Medicare and Medicaid billing guidelines
  • CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS, and modifier usage
  • Cardiology-related terminology
  • Ensure claims meet documentation and medical necessity requirements.
  • Communicate documentation gaps clearly with providers and coding teams.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 full year of hands-on medical billing experience (externships do not qualify).
  • Strong understanding of the full medical billing lifecycle.
  • Experience with EOBs, charge entry, AR follow-up, and payer guidelines.
  • Ability to manage high service volume with accuracy and urgency.
  • Strong organizational skills and professional communication.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, multi-location cardiology environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Interventional Cardiology billing experience.
  • eClinicalWorks (eCW) experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience with Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM) billing.
  • Experience billing Medicare and commercial insurance plans.
  • Experience in SNF, ALF, or mobile care settings.
